The market has had a very dull and slow start to the week as investors wait for Mr Ben Bernanke to deliver his final semi annual monetary policy report to Congress. The statement, which is a prepared testimony, is likely to do little to the market however the Q & A from lawmakers after the release could be very interesting indeed. Bernanke is now very well known to back track on statements and his move from ‘tapering’ to the FED being ‘accommodative’ saw a huge sell off in the US dollar. I don’t know whether this is on the cards this time but I am incredibly sceptical over the US Equity market at the moment and if I build a house out of cards (paper money) it will eventually fall with smallest breeze.
